Welcome from the Head Teacher
It is a great privilege to be the interim Headteacher here at Berry Brow. As part of Impact Education Multi Academy Trust, we are passionate about making a difference and inspiring children to be ‘Ready, Respectful and Safe’.
Inclusion and nurture is at the heart of our school and our curriculum is underpinned by the core values of the 4R’s: respect, responsibility, resilience and reflection and we seek out varied opportunities to develop our children holistically. We as a whole staff are driven by a desire for all our children to achieve their full potential. I am proud of our whole staff team and their dedication to giving our children every opportunity to thrive.
Please feel free to come and visit to see our wonderful school for yourself.
Berry Brow Infant and Nursery Academy Vision
Our vision is to make our school a place where children thrive and feel a sense of belonging. We want our children to experience a wide range of opportunities and develop into resilient members of our community.
Central to our vision are the following key drivers which underpin the curriculum, the way we behave and our expectations.
- Our School Promise that everyone aims to be ‘Ready, Respectful and Safe’. Our promise is designed to promote a positive climate and learning culture within our school, provide a safe environment for all and help children enjoy positive experiences and relationships in school.
- High aspirations – Raising aspirations and aiming to be the very best that we can be. Challenging ourselves to dream, believe and achieve across a wide range of activities, we value what we measure.
- Knowledge and skills – Developing language and providing knowledge in order to apply a range of skills in different contexts is fundamental to our curriculum. We want children to have knowledge and skills that can be used to support their community and beyond.
- Personal Development – We strive to give children as many opportunities as possible. This is because children’s personal development is crucial to becoming a happy learner.
Our Aims
• To ensure that the achievement, personal development, and well-being of children is the primary concern of all.
• To create outstanding learning and teaching which engages pupils, is active, collaborative and encourages independence
• To foster pupil voice which involves children in the development and delivery of their own education and the life of their academy.
• To construct a curriculum which meets the needs of all learners, is engaging and fun
• To develop professional networks which provide opportunities for pupils.
• To understand and promote community cohesion within the curriculum and wider opportunities available to children and families.
